Cholera in Chad

As of 5 October 2025, a total of 2,667 cholera cases (with 81 confirmed) and 149 deaths have been reported from three out of 23 provinces in Chad since the start of the outbreak (13 July 2025). Please see our Topics in Brief article for further details on cholera.

Dengue in Samoa

As of 29 September 2025, a total of 14,435 clinically diagnosed dengue cases (including 4,259 laboratory confirmed cases) and seven deaths have been reported in Samoa since the start of 2025. Cholera in Zambia

As of 4 October 2025, the Zambia Ministry of Health have reported, 277 cholera cases and two deaths since the outbreak began on 5 August 2025. Cases have been reported from Mpulungu (218 cases), Nsama (33 cases), Mbala (16 cases), Senga Hill (5 cases) and Mpika (5 cases) districts. Rift Valley fever in Senegal

As of 4 October 2025, Senegal's Ministry of Health have reported a total of 78 confirmed cases of Rift Valley fever, including 11 deaths. Out of the total, 75 cases have been reported from Saint-Louis Region. Cases have also been reported in Louga and Matam regions (two and one cases respectively). Argentine haemorrhagic fever in Argentina

As of 13 September 2025, a total of 373 suspected cases of Argentine haemorrhagic fever (AHF) and 49 confirmed cases, including three deaths, have been reported in Argentina in 2025. Chikungunya in Italy

As of 30 September 2025, a total of 323 locally acquired cases of chikungunya have been reported during 2025. Local transmission has been reported in two regions (Emilia-Romagna and Veneto). The largest outbreak (207 confirmed cases) is located in the province of Modena (Emilia-Romagna). A smaller outbreak (50 confirmed cases) is located in the province of Verona (Veneto). As of 28 September 2025, a total of 213 confirmed dengue cases have been reported in Tuvalu since June 2025. Cases are distributed along Fongafale and two outer islands: Nanumaga and Nukufetau.
